Getting Here

By car
Q-Park Rockingham Street  and Q-Park Durham Road are nearest to the University Campus. Both car parks include disabled parking spaces.

There is metered parking on Hounsfield Road (access via Glossop Road).  There is further metered parking on many roads near to the University. Check on-street signs carefully for restrictions.

There are several further options for parking around Sheffield city centre e.g. Britannia Parking, Hartshead Square NCP, Furnival Gate NCP and the APCOA car park on Eyre Street, or the Q-Park Solly Street.

By taxi
Taxis operate from a rank at the station front. From Sheffield station to the campus costs around £5 and will take approximately 7 minutes. During peak hours journeys may take longer and cost more.

By tram
The Sheffield 'Supertram' serves the railway station - exit the rear of the rail station via the overbridge.

Direct trams from Sheffield station to the University of Sheffield run every 12 minutes. From the station get on a Blue route service towards Malin Bridge and arrive at the University in under 10 minutes. There are conductors on the tram and payment is via card. Alight at the University of Sheffield stop.

To get to the Diamond from the University of Sheffield tramstop, head for the Henderson’s Relish Building, and continue in front of the building down the pedestrian precinct to the Diamond.

By bus
Most local buses depart from the Sheffield Bus Interchange or the Arundel Gate Interchange, both of which are a short walk from the station. Buses from these areas to the University take between 10 and 20 minutes. First South Yorkshire and Stagecoach Yorkshire operate the majority of local routes in Sheffield.
